2016 EAST Volunteer Application

ASHEVILLE, NORTH CAROLINA, USA — OCTOBER 7-9, 2016

Are you interested in helping out during the event or giving us a hand with set up either before or after the show? Come be a part of making the event happen and join our volunteer team!  Volunteers work about 12 hours and receive free entry to the event, including the Sunday banquet. Jump to Compensation details

Accepting applications now through September 30, 2016.

Fill out my online form.

In exchange for 12 hours of work— either before, during, or after the show— you will receive the following compensation:

  • Access to Overland Experience Classes. You can audit most Overland Experience classes and programs and utilize the Land Rover Overland Skills course  (the exceptions: sorry, but we cannot include access to the special recovery, advanced recovery, and advanced driving classes – they are always full with long waiting lists). [*Note: this access is NOT equivalent to an Overland Experience package; if you want unlimited access to premium classes, you will need to purchase an Overland Experience package; see website for details.] You must wear your badge to any class you audit.

  • Biltmore Entrance Fee. For approved volunteers only, we will cover the cost to get into the Biltmore Estate (valued at $46+tax per adult). If you are attending with other family members, you are responsible for their tickets (more details given upon acceptance).

  • Free on-site camping. NOTE: campsites are for motorcycles, tents, overland vehicles, and small overland trailers only. Please see our FAQ for full details on vehicle restrictions.

  • Complimentary Happy Hour & Banquet tickets. One drink ticket for each Friday and Saturday happy hours. One banquet ticket for Sunday 4pm (does not include alcohol). RSVP will be required for banquet.

NOTE: Twice a year we open applications to teach, present and volunteer–once for the WEST show (October-December of prior year) and once for the EAST show (June-July of current year). Due to the volume of applications we receive, we do not accept any email requests—even if you have taught, presented, or volunteered at a previous Overland Expo—everyone must apply.
