By submitting an application to teach or present at Overland Expo, I understand that I:

1. Am available and commit to be at Overland Expo EAST 2023 in Arrington, VA, October 6 - 8, 2023.

2. Will attend a MANDATORY instructors meeting on either Thursday at 4 pm OR Friday at 8 am. Payment will be delivered at the meetings.

3. Understand that any instructor who misses a class or presentation will not be compensated and will not be asked back for future presentations.

4. Agree to sustain a professional code of conduct (e.g.: no brand-bashing, no criticizing others’ lifestyles or choices of gear or style of riding or overlanding, no bad language, inappropriate images, or blatant self-promotion during presentations).

5. Agree to maintain a professional appearance (no ratty clothes, please come clean and tidy).

6. IF CHOSEN, will receive compensation according to the schedule on page 6 of the Instructor Prospectus.

7. WILL NOT RECEIVE TRAVEL COMPENSATION.

8. Agree to receive email announcements from Overland Expo; you can unsubscribe anytime.

9. Instructor/Presenter grants permission to Emerald X/Overland Expo and its agents and employees the irrevocable and unrestricted right to reproduce, post, and host the photographs and/or video images provided by Instructor/Presenter for the purpose of publication, promotion, illustration, advertising, or trade, in any manner or in any medium. Instructor/Presenter hereby release Emerald X and its legal representatives for all claims and liability relating to said images or video. Furthermore, Instructor/Presenter grants permission to use their statements that were given during an interview, testimonial or guest appearance, with or without their name, for the purpose of advertising and publicity without restriction.

We will be finalizing our list of selected applications by the end of August 2023. At that time you will be contacted with either a letter of acceptance or decline.
