The georgia traverse
With 390 miles of mostly off-pavement travel through a combination of county, state, and Forest Service roads, the George Traverse will provide a tour of parts of Tennessee, North Carolina, and a lot of Georgia. Laid out on the Georgia Overland website, the traverse is written from east to west, so you’ll need to reverse the directions. The interactive map also lays out important road features, potential campgrounds, and hiking spots.
Mid atlantic Backcountry discovery route
The MABDR is a scenic ride for dual-sport and adventure motorcycles that uses dirt, gravel and paved roads to wind through remote parts of Virginia, West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Check out the MABDR webpage for more information and route specifics.
