Camping Updates:

VEHICLE RESTRICTIONS NOW IN FORCE (as of 4-18) for new ticket sales

SMALL OVERLAND VEHICLES (less than 30 feet) AND SMALL OVERLAND TRAILERS ONLY. No RVs, no standing-headroom travel trailers or toy haulers. Vehicles over 10 feet in height or with more than four wheels can no longer be accommodated, we are out of space for oversized rigs. *If you purchased a ticket prior to 4-18, you will be accommodated under the early rules (we have a blanket run on no Class A, B, C RVs, and no travel trailers or toy haulers).

For more information about vehicle restrictions, please see our FAQ.

We recommend finding a place in the surrounding Coconino National Forest to camp. Closest area: take FR532 (Purple Sage at Beulah Blvd) and follow it out to Woody Mountain Road; there is forest service camping all out Woody Mountain Road — it is your responsibility to make sure you are camping on Forest Service land. Then mountain bike or motorcycle in to the venue via easy trails / roads.

KIDS CAN EARN PATCHES!

Our unique program is run by kids, for kids. Attend one of the Become a Junior Overland Explorer intro classes (right) to start. Then take different classes to earn rockers for your main patch (parents can buy an Overland Expo bag with velcro on the front for your patches, at HQ). See schedule, right, and look for classes that have a badge icon.
