The Gas Growler 3.8 Naked’s charm and appeal lies in its portability — and financial savings over time. The new, compact refillable tank is less than one hundred bucks, is more portable than traditional 20-pound refillable tanks, and cuts way down on campsite waste. According to Ignik, not counting the purchase of the refillable growler itself, each refill of the Gas Growler 3.8 provides 3.8 times the fuel of one single-use bottle, for about the same price.

Aside from its functionality, this new tank is efficient and safe, as well. The Gas Growler 3.8 Naked is DOT-approved, and includes a 12-year valve certification — so you can rest easy that you’re covered in case of any malfunction. Adding to the convenience factor, Ignik ships its tanks pre-purged and ready to be filled at any propane filling station. The Gas Growler 3.8 is eight pounds empty, and under a foot tall (exact dimensions are 8.3 x 8.3 x 10.2 inches) so it’s super easy to store when not in use.

If you’re looking for a more eco-friendly, cheaper alternative to the single-use propane canister, the new Gas Growler 3.8 Naked holds major appeal. And if you’re the type that likes accessories, you’re in luck: Ignik also sells cases for its refillable tanks, offering more protection from mishaps on the road. The cases fit the Ignik 3.8, 5 or 10-pound Gas Growlers, and include useful molle stitched webbing for attaching accessories or strapping down for transport. The cases are designed to fit into vehicles, offering on-demand propane access.
