These Off-Road Accessories Turn Your Nissan into a Factory-Supported Overlander

Nissan is going all in on overlanding with dealer-supported upgrades for its 4×4 models.

Nissan’s performance arm, NISMO, revealed this week that it is doing more than just tuning the brand’s sports cars these days. It has now turned its sights on the 4×4 segment. It has created a line of off-road and overland accessories for the Frontier, Titan, and Xterra. And it’s debuting the first round of factory accessories at this year’s Rebelle Rally.

The 2020 Nissan Frontier, powered by a new 310-horsepower V6, is the first to receive the dealer-available upgrades. And the first example is entering this year’s Rebelle Rally.

The last-of-its-generation Frontier mid-size pickup has been given a new 105-pound front bumper laser cut from high-tensile strength steel that includes two points for recovery shackles as well as mounting points for auxiliary lights. Mounted to it are some NISMO-branded six-inch-diameter LED driving lights developed by Rigid that boast 8,600 lumens. And behind that is a WARN winch, which the bumper is designed to easily accommodate.

The outgoing truck has also been blessed with a factory-tuned 2.0-inch lift suspension with digressive-valve shocks at all four corners — and the rear shocks feature remote reservoirs, too.

It’s rolling on new NISMO wheels as well, which are 17×7.5 inches with 6×114.3 bolt pattern and have a positive 30 millimeter backspacing, so they perfectly fit the 2005 to 2020 Frontier.

Nissan also announced that the 2016 to 2021 Titan full-size pickup will also receive its own set of factory-approved upgrades. And designers even dipped back a couple models and designed solutions for the for-now-discontinued Xterra, running 2005 to 2015. What’s more, the all-new Frontier, which will debut next year, will also get its own slew of overlanding upgrades.

This is great news for those Nissan owners (or would-be Nissan owners) and overlanders who want to outfit their truck for off-grid adventures but would prefer to stick with brand-approved parts. Soon you’ll be able to roll into your local Nissan store and snag some of these NISMO upgrades.
