Separate your pads from waterproof gear with Mosko Moto’s Minimalist Gear

One of my favorite things about Mosko Moto is their dedication to simplicity and, true to form, their new gear release is no exception. Mosko just rolled out the Rak Pullover and Overpant for your minimalist riding pleasure.

Less truly is more when it comes down to it. Less to break, less to go wrong, less water getting in, and therefore more functional. The Rak Pullover features an anorak-style entry with quarter zip design, two hand pockets, one chest pocket, adjustable Velcro cuffs, and Cohaesive embedded cord-locks at the hem and collar to help seal out the weather. The 3L eVent waterproof breathable material keeps you dry and comfortable through the magic of technology. Plus, the Rak rolls up small and features a lashing loop on the upper back so you can strap it directly to your bike or luggage when it’s not in use.

You might as well pair the pullover with the Rak Overpant to combat even the most rugged weather. With this overpant you can tour in whichever non-waterproof riding pant you choose and still have total confidence in foul weather. Full-length Ykk Aquaguard® Vislon side zips allow you to easily throw these waterproof britches over moto boots. Double-layer reinforcement keeps the knees and seat sturdy and the belt loops are there to keep your pants up.

The Mosko gang is super into separating their body armor from their protective outer layers. It’s a system I have yet to explore, but considering the improved safety factor of keeping armor close to the body, plus the versatility and climate control that comes with layered gear, it’s certainly a worthy consideration.
