Launch Your Stunt Riding Career on the Triumph Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueen

Easily one of the prettiest bikes you’ll ever rip around off-road, the Triumph Scrambler 1200 was first launched in 2018. For 2021, Triumph’s 1200 Scrambler XC is built with an all-road focus and the XE version is just as great on road but with enhanced off-road capability. The Scrambler is the sort of modern icon that’ll inspire you to take the road less travelled every chance you get.

Alongside the new 2021 Scramblers, Triumph is rolling out a limited edition Steve McQueen Edition. Celebrating the star of motorcycle stunting, the McQueen Edition delivers go-anywhere adventure-bike capability and state-of-the-art technology with a premium paint scheme and a collection of hoity-toity details sure to launch your career as a motorcycle stunt rider.

Powered by the latest evolution of Triumph’s 1200cc 8-valve parallel twin engine, Scramblers sound like they mean business. Pair that with long travel, fully adjustable suspension and you’ve got excellent comfort and control everywhere from city streets to rocky off-road. Both the Öhlins twin spring rear shocks and high specification upside down Showa front forks are fully adjustable for preload, compression and rebound damping.

Enhancing the multi-purpose vibe of the Scrambler 1200, wire spoked wheels with aluminium rims and a side-laced design come standard, allowing the use of tubeless tires. The 21” front wheel contributes to the Scrambler 1200’s incredible off-road capability, particularly in conjunction with the wide adjustable handlebar position and the adjustable folding foot controls on the XE model.

Both the XC and XE models feature a full-color TFT display with an adjustable screen angle to suit every rider’s height. Ride-by-wire ensures responsive and precise throttle control at all times and the 6 riding modes adjust throttle response, traction control, and ABS settings. Other bells and whistles include: torque-assist clutch, cruise control, keyless ignition, under-seat USB charging socket, and the internal wiring ready to plug in heated grips.

Just in case the 2021 Scrambler isn’t already pretty enough for you, the new Steve McQueen Edition is the XE wrapped in a premium Steve McQueen paint scheme and unique details. With just 1,000 Scrambler 1200 Steve McQueens available worldwide, each bike is individually numbered on a billet-machined handlebar clamp. The paint scheme features a Competition Green tank with brushed foil knee pads, hand-painted gold lining, a brown bench seat, and other details to tickle your bespoke fancy.

Aside from movie stardom, Steve McQueen was also renowned for his Triumph Scrambler desert racing, which makes the 1200 XE the perfect base for the exclusive edition. If you’re lucky enough to get your hands on one, you’ll be well on your way to stunt riding stardom.
