Backcountry Discovery Routes is a household name for nearly all adventure riders. The non-profit organization has been creating off-highway routes for dual-sport and adventure motorcyclists for the past ten years. In celebration of the big anniversary, BDR is releasing a new documentary about their decade-long journey of off-road awesomeness. RideBDR: A 10-Year Retrospective will premiere this Sunday, May 16th.
The feature length documentary tells the story of the BDR from its ragtag beginnings to the ambitious organization that it is today. Every year, since 2010, the BDR has introduced a new overland route with free GPS tracks for the riding community. Spanning the US, the routes generate new tourism for rural communities and promote access in these incredible backcountry areas.

In addition to route development, BDR focuses on rider education, safety campaigns, and promoting responsible travel for motorcyclists in the backcountry. The organization is volunteer-powered and works with agencies and land managers to keep trails and remote roads open for riding.
