The 2021 Overland Expo Best Shot Contest has wrapped up. With over 100 entries and multiple rounds of voting AJ Nealey’s photo has come out on top!
This wasn’t a point-and-shoot situation, but rather a blend of six exposures that took several hours and plenty of technical know-how to capture the night sky with incredible detail. | AJ Nealey
AJ says, “So this is my first tracked, stacked, and blended panoramic photo. This photo was taken from a non-light polluted area in West Virginia. I spent several hours setting up the star tracker, getting the polar alignment correct, and snapping 1-minute exposures.”
AJ will receive a complimentary Overland Experience package for himself and a guest. The runners-up featured below will receive a complimentary Weekend Pass with Camping tickets for themselves and a guest.
