Are you a year-round overlander? Have you ever wanted to be the star of a reality TV show? Well, this might be your chance at stardom. Cue to the 15-minutes-of-fame clock.
British production company Blast! Films is currently casting a show for a “major US network” that follows the lives of overlanders.
They are looking for folks spend at least half the year living, and traveling the country, in their overland-outfitted vehicle — be it a Land Cruiser, Jeep, Bus, RV, truck or full-size luxury expedition vehicle. The caveat being, however, Blast! is seeking folks whose full- or part-time overland lifestyle enables them to make a living.
Unfortunately, this doesn’t mean Land Rover-dwelling graphic designers or photographer who call a Sprinter van home. Blast! is looking for overlanders working in the trapping, mining, fishing, construction, or workamping fields, for example.
Blast! is keen to feature owners of overland outfitter shops (with big personalities) as well. So, even if you’re not a full-time overlander, there may be room for you in the show, too.
If you are interested in learning more, you can email Martha Millar at [email protected] to find out more.
Of course, emailing for additional information in no way contracts you to the production — it’s totally cool to just drop a note to find out more. And, yes, before you ask: Blast! Films will be compensating their on-screen talent. And, no, the production team won’t need to follow you full time for months on end.
If you do end up being cast on the show, reach out and let us know. We’d love to do a feature on you and your adventures and the show’s production.
