Third-party bed systems designed for SUVs and trucks are nothing new, but Hest’s recently released Foamy For R1S system had our editors coming back for a second look. If you own a R1S and are hoping to dial up the luxury and comfort for camping in your electric SUV, this may be the sleep solution for you.
Hest’s Foamy For R1S combines the comfort of the Foamy sleep system with a design specifically catered to fit into the R1S. The memory foam mattress is designed to fit into the curvature of the popular EV, and when you’re not hitting the snooze button, the mattress can be rolled up for easy storage. The curved cutouts fit seamlessly around the wheel wells, and the mattress itself utilizes two layers of temperature-resilient memory foam to create a sleeping situation that is hard to beat.

The Foamy For R1S is technically a single mattress, but it can be linked together with another Foamy designed for Rivian’s award-winning electric SUV to maximize the sleep space and allow for multiple campers to sleep in comfort and security. To add to the functionality, each Foamy comes with a roomy pocket to store your phone, keys, and other essentials.
