Ketchum, Idaho-based truck bed drawer system and tool box manufacturer, DECKED just announced their acquisition of sliding truck bed cargo system manufacturer, CargoGlide for an undisclosed sum.
What is CargoGlide?
CargoGlide, based out of St. George, Utah designed, manufactured, and distributed their popular sliding truck bed platforms since 2010. The aftermarket sliding platform fit into work trucks, pickups, and vans enabling the user access to cargo without climbing into the truck bed / cargo area. The CargoGlide systems carry a payload capacity of a half-ton and features a quick 30-minute installation.
DECKED / CargoGlide Merger
The acquisition of CargoGlide will allow the end-user to run both the DECKED and CargoGlide systems simultaneously without sacrificing the performance of either.
DECKED will be applying their approach to CargoGlide’s products. The CargoGlide line will be fully integrated with DECKED’s own Drawer System and Tool Box products to create the next building block in DECKED’s growing offering of truck bed storage and organization systems and will be eventually offered for direct to consumer sale on their website and at dealers. This new partnership will create a comprehensive portfolio of innovative truck bed accessory solutions, well-positioned to meet a variety of customer needs across this growing market.
“We are very excited to bring CargoGlide into the DECKED family,” said DECKED GM, Jake Peters. “It’s a natural acquisition as its ergonomic focus is a great complement to DECKED. We believe that by adding DECKED’s manufacturing, engineering, and design knowledge, as well as marketing and sales infrastructure, we can take CargoGlide to the next level.”
DECKED / CargoGlide Manufacturing
Manufacturing and distribution will remain at CargoGlide headquarters in St. George, UT. The DECKED sales team will begin representing this new line of DECKED products immediately.
“We couldn’t be more excited about joining the fast-growing team at DECKED. We have collaborated with DECKED in the past, and we are confident that together we can make even more useful products and a great place for our employees to work,” said CargoGlide GM, Mike Wallace.
