DECKED Reveals a Slick Solution for Your Sliding Gear

If you own a DECKED drawer system and you’ve ever been frustrated by your in-bed gear sliding around on the top deck of your system when you’re out on the trails, then we have some news for you.

DECKED recently revealed that they partnered with marine flooring innovator, SeaDek to bring its renowned, marine-grade, self-adhesive, closed-cell ethylene-vinyl acetate (EVA) foam padding to the DECKED truck bed Drawer System.

While the DECKED Drawer System is great at what it does – which is holding up to 2,000 pounds on the top deck of in-bed, lockable drawer storage, what it doesn’t do is offer a slip-resistant surface for the plastic top deck, until now.

“Let’s be honest, in the rain, the Drawer System’s deck can be as slick as a buttered eel on a marble floor. The SeaDek Traction Mat brings much-needed grip and traction to the deck,” said DECKED VP of Marketing, Greg Randolph. “In addition to holding your gear in place like it’s stuck in quicksand, the cushy material creates a soft pad on the deck panels, making it easier on the knees, elbows, and back, should one be crawling around back there.”

The DECKED Traction Mat by SeaDek

The DECKED Traction Mat by SeaDek is an all-weather gripping mat that is router-cut to match the topography and geometry of the DECKED Drawer System that doesn’t inhibit access to stored gear and won’t interfere with Drawer System removal or reinstallation. Installation of the 6mm thick Traction Mat is quick and easy. It is applied to your Drawer System deck like a giant decal. Similarly, removal of the traction mat leaves no sticky residue or fragments if you decide to take it off your Drawer System.

Priced at $525.00, the DECKED Traction Mat by SeaDek is available for 5’6” and 6’6” full-size truck and cargo van DECKED systems, as well as 5’1” and 6’1” mid-size truck and cargo van DECKED systems.
