Tires: Heidenau K 60 Scout

Based in Germany, Heidenau’s history of producing handcrafted and carefully engineered tires dates back to 1946. Heidenau makes some of the highest quality tires available on the market today.

Heidenau’s dual sport tires are a perfect fit for the Ultimate Overland Motorcycle. When you are miles from anywhere, the last thing you want to worry about is the durability of your tires. Heidenau tires are engineered for longevity and strike the perfect balance for off-road and on-road use.

Heidenau K60 Scout

Heidenau’s durable compound, combined with a tread to handle just about anything, has made for a tire that’s become the beloved tire of adventure bike travelers the world over. In adventure riding, the road can be unpredictable, but we know that the K60 Scouts will have our back on the Ultimate Overland Motorcycle.

Heidenau’s tire compound uses a high natural rubber content, which is naturally resilient and durable. When combined with sturdy belted construction, this makes for one of the most trusted, longest-lasting tires available to long-distance travelers. Heidenau tailored the K60 Scout tire specifically to the 90/90-21 front wheel and the 150/70-17 rear wheel of the Honda Africa Twin. Different sizes of the Scout each look different and by incorporating feedback from customers and countless miles of testing, this resulted in different tires for different bikes, to ensure the best performance.
