The custom propulsion system powering the Jeep CJ Surge includes a scalable 400-volt, 200-kW Electric Drive Module that mounts to the frame with custom-designed motor mounts. Twenty-four lithium-ion battery modules supply power to all four wheels, and torque runs through a two-speed Jeep transfer case with selectable gearing. The battery modules are stored in a shell mounted behind the passenger cabin. Just behind the driver’s side door, the charge port is tucked away for powering this classic trail rig turned modern BEV.

The Copper Canyon paint and graphics give this Jeep a look that is somehow modern and vintage at the same time. Surf Blue accents are scattered throughout the build, providing some contrast to the otherwise warm color scheme. Of course, the interior is also custom-built with seat risers, four-point harnesses, black Sedoso cloth, houndstooth fabric inserts, and Blue Surf stitching.
