The new Land Rover Defender is now on the market and I’ve even seen one driving around Seattle. Though that Defender will most likely never see dirt with that owner, I take solace in the fact that he’ll take good care of it and sell it in 10 or 15 years for pennies on the dollar to someone who will use it the way it was meant to be used — off-road.
If you’re planning to purchase a 2020 Land Rover Defender 110, you might want to kit it out with a rooftop tent. Land Rover and our friends at Autohome developed a co-branded bespoke rooftop tent just for your camping adventures.

Co-branded and co-badged Autohome x Land Rover Rooftop Tent
With all of the Autohome touches you’re already familiar with, the new Land Rover x Autohome Rooftop tent features an aerodynamic fiberglass shell, gas struts to aide in opening the tent, luxury cotton mattress, LED lighting, stowage net, and the whole thing is accessible with an included aluminum ladder. When deployed, the tent measures 7.5 feet long, 4.3 feet wide and 4.9 feet high.

You’ll also need Land Rover’s Expedition Roof Rack and Roof Rails option to mount your new tent to your Defender 110 which can conveniently be added on at the time of purchase. U.S. availability and pricing has not yet been announced, but the European version retails for €3,082 or about $3,500.
