FILM: Boda Babes Ride!
3 women fly to Africa to buy a used motorcycle for a ranger. The Bike has issues. Can Nicole even mount the too-tall-for-her bike? Does Tiffany’s tight schedule leave enough time to deliver The Bike before returning to London for a speaking gig? If Lorraine can’t keep her promise to the award-winning ranger, how dire ARE the consequences?
This 90-minute comedy/drama/road movie stars Nicole Espinosa—motorcycle part designer, Tiffany Coates—who’s ridden more miles on a motorcycle than any woman ever, and adventurer/producer/editor Lorraine Chittock.

Film Makers Bio
In 1991, Californian born Lorraine Chittock moved to Cairo, Egypt to work for a magazine as a photographer. Within months, Lorraine was in Sudan, researching a legendary caravan route. In 1994 she crossed the Libyan Desert with 200 camels, 7 camel herders and a co-worker. The result was the coffee-table book, Shadows in the Sand—Following the Forty Days Road.
After seven years working as a writer and photographer for books and magazines in Egypt and the Middle East, then five years in Kenya, Lorraine Chittock returned to America in 2003 with two Kenyan dogs. In 2006 they journeyed south in an old Chevrolet van bought for $750 and once used as a surveillance vehicle by the Arizona police department, proving “the adventure of a lifetime doesn’t take a lifetime of savings.” In 2011 she bought a cabin in Chile overlooking the Pacific Ocean. After twenty years living in Africa, the Middle East and Latin America, and producing a stunning collection of magazine articles and travel books, she was eager to learn a new medium.
In 2015 she began research for her first film, and in 2017 invited two friends to join her in the making of BODA BABES RIDE. During the pandemic, she returned to Africa and now lives in a Tanzanian fishing village overlooking another body of water—the Indian Ocean. “Nomadism,” says Lorraine, “isn’t an escape from society, but a return to natural rhythms deeply embedded in us.”
Lorraine has spoken for numerous Overland Expo audiences since 2010.
BODA BABES RIDE has played to audiences in San Francisco and other California locations, London, England, Romania and by the end of 2025, India!
