Overland Vehicle Systems has added a new premium option to its rooftop tent lineup with the XD Atlas Cantilever ABS Hard Shell Roof Top Tent, a two-person hard shell designed for travelers who value fast setup, smart packaging, and real comfort on the road. Finished in a blue body with a black rainfly, the XD Atlas is priced at $2,899.99 and targets long-haul overlanders as much as weekend explorers.

The tent is built around a lightweight ABS plastic shell paired with an aluminum honeycomb base, a combination that keeps overall weight down while maintaining rigidity and durability. A cantilever-style opening expands the sleeping area beyond the footprint of the roof rack and allows the tent to be deployed or packed away in roughly two minutes.

The body uses 320g rip-stop poly-cotton Oxford fabric with a blackout interior coating designed to block light and reduce heat intrusion. Inside, the XD Atlas includes a 2-inch high-density memory foam mattress that sleeps two comfortably, along with an anti-condensation mat and a zip-in cold-weather insulation kit for shoulder-season and winter travel.

Integrated load-carrying crossbars rated at 100 pounds add versatility, allowing users to mount kayaks, bikes, or solar panels directly on top of the tent. Additional features include interior LED lighting, a skylight, no-see-um mesh windows, an AC/heater port, and an 81-inch telescoping aluminum ladder.

With a 5000 PU waterproof rating, military-spec seals, stainless steel hardware, and a limited lifetime structural warranty backed by a six-year fabric warranty, the XD Atlas positions itself as a well-rounded, expedition-ready rooftop tent aimed at travelers who want a dependable sleep system without sacrificing ease of use or cargo flexibility.
