Polaris RZR XP Rigs Get Group Ride Tracking Tech

Polaris is upping the tech for their next iteration of the popular RZR XP UTV offerings, including the ability on some variants to see where other vehicles in a group are located without needing cell service.

The tracking and location feature is part of Polaris Ride Command tech suite, which can also be utilized via an app on a smartphone. The latest addition to the tech suite, which is used by many Polaris vehicles, including Indian motorcycles, allows riders to see their location on a map and the location of other vehicles that have the same functionality.

Polaris says the Ride Command feature works “without cell signal to keep riders connected and on course” and includes information for “over a million miles of verified trails nationwide.”

Beyond that, the RZR XP lineup returns mostly unchanged for 2025, following a fairly extensive makeover the year before. “Last year, we completely redesigned the RZR XP platform from the ground up, making it superior in every way possible. Not only does it surpass all previous RZR XP models, but it outshines the competition by delivering riders the best in design, performance, and technology,” Reid Wilson, Vice President, Polaris Off Road said in a press release.

The popular RZR XP line will be available in three trims, including Sport, Premium, and Ultimate. Polaris says the mid-level Premium RZR XP trim includes a seven-inch touchscreen display with GPS navigation and group ride tracking that works without a cellular phone signal to keep riders connected – especially if someone takes a wrong turn.

All trims can be had in two or four-seat configurations, and all models are powered by a 999cc 114-horsepower Polaris motor coupled to a CVT transmission with improved cooling systems and stronger internal components. Walker Evans suspension gives the RZR XP over 20 inches of travel, LED lighting all around improves visibility after dark, and upper trims include a 7-inch touchscreen.

The base Sport model starts at $19,999 and lacks the Ride Command tech suite as stock, while the tech is included in the $21,999 Premium and $24,999 Ultimate package. The Ultimate trim also includes a a Rockford Fosgate Stage 3 audio system, reverse camera, Poly Roof, 900-Watt electrical output capacity and a bumper-mounted 4,500-pound capacity winch.

Starting at $19,999 US MSRP, riders can get into the RZR XP 1000 Sport, featuring two color options, 29” tires, LED headlights, illuminated in-cab switches, 660-W Charging System, and three-point seat belts.

The Sport trim comes in Storm Gray with Radiant Green accents or Polaris Blue, while the Premium trim gets red accents and matching springs. The Ultimate trim is available in Storm Gray and Lime, plus Polaris Blue and Orange, each with matching colored springs, front bumper and seats, according to Polaris.
