Now in its second year, the Storytelling Pavilion is one of the most popular hotspots at every Overland Expo show. This multi-purpose space hosts Content Creator panels and discussions, informational seminars and education areas where attendees can learn, build community and share knowledge. In the Storytelling pavilion, you’ll find everything from clinics on photography and content creation to backcountry cooking classes, safety seminars, and everything in-between. If you’re ready to learn, this is the place for you.
In anticipation of the 2025 Overland Expo PNW, here’s a glimpse at some of the content creators, chefs, explorers and more that will be joining us to teach, inspire, and of course, tell stories. After all, that’s what the Storytelling Pavilion is all about.
A select group of content creators will be camped with their rigs around this space, so if you’re looking to chat with or get an in-person tour of the rig of an overlander you’ve been following for a while, this will be your chance. Here are a handful of the many faces you will see in this area.
Aaron King — @DeepSnap
Aaron King, also known as DeepSnap, is a filmmaker and adventure photographer with a knack for storytelling and a deep appreciation for nature. His social media presence has attracted over a million followers and he was featured in YouTube’s 2020 Super Bowl commercial. Whether he’s capturing moments behind the lens or sipping coffee by the river, Aaron’s approachable style and commitment to his craft resonates with adventurers and creatives alike.

Jason Darrah — @PrimalOutdoors
Jason Darrah is an outdoor filmmaker and solo traveler who lives full-time in his custom 4×4 van, “Sasquatch”, alongside his adventurous dog, Ben. Through his YouTube channel Primal Outdoors, Jason shares immersive, honest stories from the road—capturing the rugged beauty of remote landscapes while documenting the real-life challenges and rewards of van-based living. With a focus on self-reliance, minimalist gear, and raw storytelling, his content resonates with viewers seeking a more grounded, authentic connection to the outdoors.

Matt & Cara McClellan — @OzarkOverlandAdventures
Cara and Matt McClellan are full time YouTubers with a goal to be living on the road and overlanding full time by fall of 2025. Between now and then, they will be living the best life they can— creating as much content as possible and growing their YouTube subscriber and support base. What started as exploring the beautiful Ozark National Forest on a weekend adventure with just a Jeep and some camping gear has turned into a passion to see and experience as much as possible. As Cara and Matt explore more and more, they want to pass on the adventure to others by inspiring them to get off the pavement and experience these amazing places firsthand.

Rachel Harris – @sunnrayy
Rachel Harris is an adventure content creator who has documented her lifestyle as a solo female traveler, living and traveling in a truck camper alongside her rescue dog, Fado. Her content emphasizes a deep connection with nature and inspires others to pursue the life they imagine relentlessly. Notably, she has collaborated with prominent brands like Garmin, Sony Alpha, DJI & more, solidifying her influence and expertise in the outdoor and adventure content space.

Chef Chad White – @ChefChadWhite
A Spokane native, Chad White’s path to culinary prominence began with an unexpected start—cooking in the galleys of the United States Navy following the events of 9/11. It was here, aboard destroyers and nuclear aircraft carriers, that his love for the culinary arts took root, laying a strong foundation for what would become a celebrated career spanning multiple cities and cuisines. With two James Beard Award nominations and an appearance on Top Chef Season 13 under his belt, Chad is firmly established as one of the region’s most celebrated culinary talents. Beyond his professional success, Chad is deeply committed to giving back to his community, raising over $250,000 for local schools, nonprofits, and charities focused on women and children. His philanthropic efforts earned him the Emerging Philanthropist award from United Way in 2022. In March 2024, Chad launched Trail Feast, a culinary project that celebrates his passion for outdoor cooking and adventure. When he’s not in the kitchen, Chad draws inspiration from travel, overland adventures, and quality time spent with his family. A dedicated mentor and community leader, he continues to embody the spirit of grit, innovation, and a deep love for food and connection.
