Subaru is stepping into the electric adventure space with the debut of the 2026 Subaru Trailseeker, a new all-electric SUV aimed squarely at drivers who like to wander beyond the pavement. Built around Subaru’s familiar all-wheel-drive philosophy, the Trailseeker pairs a dual-motor setup producing roughly 375 horsepower with an estimated 280 miles of range. With 8.3 inches of ground clearance, Subaru’s X-Mode traction system, and a 3,500-pound towing capacity, the Trailseeker offers the kind of capability weekend explorers and light overlanders expect from the brand.

Practicality remains central to the package. The SUV offers generous cargo space for adventure gear, roof capacity for racks or rooftop tents, and fast-charging capability that supports road-trip travel. While body-on-frame trucks still dominate serious expedition builds, the Trailseeker suggests that electric SUVs could soon become another viable option for exploring backroads and trailheads.
