Vehicle Modification Insurance: Tredder Specialty Equipment Insurance

Tredder is an insurance policy that works hand in hand with your current vehicle policy, providing coverage for the modifications that you’ve installed to make it perfectly fit your needs. Most car insurance policies only cover around $5000-$6000 in accessories and mods, and for many of us, that may not even cover our suspension upgrades. Tredder is here to close that gap.

The idea for Tredder was born on the trail. Cofounder David De Jesus remembers, “I was having trouble getting insurance for the full value of my truck. So, out on a trip, I was asking how everyone else was doing it and none of the answers were straight forward”.

Insurance for the modifications that we install on our vehicles isn’t the first thing that most people think of when they consider how they’ll upgrade their truck. “We always talk about insurance like it’s magic,” says cofounder Sam Artioli, “When it works the way it should, it seems to do the impossible. It’s the final upgrade for your truck or van.”

As the official insurance provider for all modifications and upgrades on this year’s Ultimate Vehicle Build, Tredder’s coverage protects this truck now and will extend to the new owner of this incredible vehicle as well.
