Improving the Campfire for the Modern Caveman

Let’s be honest here. There hasn’t been much innovation in campfires since our Homo erectus fire discovery days. 400,000 years is a long time to be stuck with an inefficient campfire, am I right? Our friends at MC Ranch Overland out of British Columbia, Canada set out to improve the campfire with a very simple parabolic arc. Thus was born “The Original Fire Reflector.”

The strong, lightweight (27 pound) aluminum reflector has many properties. The Original Fire Reflector can reflect campfire heat back into your campsite, it can create a controlled environment for cooking where wind is a factor in cooking temperatures, and it can provide a barrier to tend to your fire or food prep without directly approaching the fire.

Each one of the “Original Fire Reflectors” and carrying cases are custom made in Canada. The reflectors are CNC machined with water jet, then hand finished and assembled. The robust 1000 Cordura carrying cases are also handmade. The reflector is designed to last a lifetime acting as a venue for sharing stories, making memories and enhancing community… One campfire at a time.

The Original Fire Reflector retails for $375.00 USD and is available only from MC Ranch Overland.
