E-Bike And Rack: QuietKat RidgeRunner eBike

Sometimes on an overland trip, you want to set up camp for a couple of days in one spot and explore the region from your new home base. The perfect satellite rig for that duty is an e-bike. And we chose the QuietKat RidgeRunner.

It’s powered by a 1000-Watt BAFANG ULTRA MID-DRIVE MOTOR. It is a true marvel of engineering with over 1600 Watts of peak power and 160 Newton meters of torque. It allows the rider to accelerate up steep inclines with ease. An average-size rider can easily hit 30 miles per hour using the thumb throttle on flat terrain.

QuietKat chose BAFANG because it has been the industry leader in e-bike motor innovation and build the highest quality, longest-lasting, and most powerful motors in the business.

The all-new Fat Tire RidgeRunner is a full suspension electric mountain bike geared towards exploring the backcountry like never before. The Fire-Link suspension system is a true four-bar linkage, providing the ultimate traction and capability while four-piston hydraulic disc brakes allow you to keep control.

Built on a 26″x4.8″ Fat-Tire platform, the RidgeRunner is designed for a wide variety of technical, off-road terrain including soft sand and snow, as well as hard-pack trails and rocks.

The Fat Tire RidgeRunner is available as a 1000W unclassified e-bike and can be programmed down to 750W for Class 1 and Class 2 operations.
