Calling All Women Riders! A Survey to Shape the Future of Motorcycling

This one’s for the ladies! Whether you’re a seasoned rider or new to two wheels, the Women’s Coalition of Motorcyclists (WCM) wants to hear from you!

The WCM is researching key challenges that hold women back from becoming and staying avid motorcycle riders. Their goal is to help women become passionate, life-long riders and customers and they’re using data to get the job done.

In late 2020, the WCM began an ambitious data collection project based on their perspective that potential inhibitors (such as motorcycle design or dealership operations) could become targets for systematic improvement with appropriate supporting evidence. The WCM believes that, with this survey, they can provide concrete data which will be used on the industry level to get more women out on two wheels safely and confidently.

No industry analyst has taken on this issue or provided necessary feedback in a brand-agnostic manner. The WCM will share the results with leaders of the motorcycling industry with the intent to make riding more accessible to women.

The survey is divided into four parts and the first two are published and ready for your input:

1. Motorcycle Rider Training
2. Motorcycle Design
3. Motorcycle Gear and Apparel: Coming Soon!
4. Motorcycle Dealership Operations: Coming Soon!

This is intended for female motorcyclists within North America, so if that’s you, jump in there and share your two cents!
