The Honda Off-Road Racing Team snagged another Class 7 victory at the iconic Baja 500 this year in their heavily modified Honda Ridgeline. This is Honda’s fourth consecutive class win and their fifth in the past six years.

Once again competing in Class 7, for unlimited V6-powered race trucks, the Honda Ridgeline duo of team owner/driver Jeff Proctor and Pat Dailey faced a single-loop course of 466-miles, starting and ending in the coastal city of Ensenada. A total of 243 entries took part in this year’s 25th running of the event.

While the Honda Ridgeline Baja Truck is nothing like anything you’d find on the lot at your local dealership, the one thing that this Ridgeline shares with its burly Baja 500 counterpart is the same block and cylinder heads found in the 3.5-liter V6 production Ridgeline.

Jeff Proctor said of this year’s race. “This was a very fast, yet very technical Baja 500, demanding as always. It was extremely dusty, with many single-track lines that didn’t really allow for passing. But the entire Honda Off-Road Racing Team was on fire today, thanks once again to everyone for all of their effort and hard work, it all paid off for us once again.”

So, this begs the question … are you thinking about building out a Honda Ridgeline now?
