Day two of Overland Expo West was adventure-packed with plenty to do and see. As day attendees and campers ventured through the gates, they headed towards the vendor area, classes, and driving courses. It’s nearly impossible to see it all in one day, so everyone was excited to make the most of their Saturday.
Ride and Drives
Just like last year, the Ford Bronco Ride Along was a huge hit. The course is designed to show off the Bronco’s capability across varied terrain. The Bronco Ambassadors explained the features and tech that make the Bronco trail-ready as they did a lap with attendees. Participants also got to check out a variety of the Bronco trim levels and take some exclusive swag home.
Electric Off-Roaders
Some incredible electric off-roaders were also on display this weekend. The Hummer EV drew a crowd at the GM booth. With 35-inch tires, 350+ miles of range, four-wheel steering, six inches of on-demand lift, and a 0-60 mile-per-hour time of around three seconds, it’s truly something to see in person.
Likewise, the Rivian R1T was also available for attendees to check out up close and personal. The Snow Peak crew used the integrated kitchen to dish out some camp mixology lessons. The R1T also tried its luck on our driving course.
Time to Relax
It’s not all hustle and bustle at Overland Expo. Attendees took advantage of the Overland Expo Bivvies to escape the sun, grab a seat, and recharge their devices. There were also plenty of opportunities to relax at some of the vendors. It’s also not uncommon for a game or competition to pop up amongst the booths.

Overland Film Fest sponsored by Fieldcraft Survival
After winds caused the Overland Film Festival sponsored by Field Craft Survival to be postponed, we were happy to check out a great selection of films on Saturday night. Everyone left inspired and impressed by the excellent selection of films. This annual event is not to be missed. It truly lives up to the “get inspired” portion of the Overland Expo moto.
Rider Justice Dinner
Saturday’s Rider Justice Dinner was full of friends, food, live music, and plenty of moto prizes. The dinner raised funds for Jess Stone’s GoRUFFLY Around the World ride for Girl Up. Jess, her husband, and their German Shepherd are already on their fundraiser ride that aims to “advance girls’ skills, rights, and opportunities to be leaders.” According to Jess, riding her motorcycle has helped her “gain confidence in her abilities and has become a defining part of her identity – an experience she hopes will inspire girls to dream big and persist in their goals.”
The Moto Party also saw the announcement of a new project in partnership with Tread Lightly that will take place in the Cinder Cone OHV area on June 18, 2022. As always, it was a great time for all in attendance.
After Hours
After the film festival and dinner, the party didn’t stop. After-hours events dotted Fort Tuthill with everything from dance parties to cookouts. Toyota, KC HiLiTES, AT Overland/Equipt, Honda, and Rivian all provided evening activities to wrap up a full day at Overland Expo.
