Happier Camper Debuts Traveler Summit, Which Blends Retro Vibes With Modern Amenities

Happier Camper is known for its playful, retro-inspired campers, and has been developing modular, nostalgia-fueled floor plans since its 2015 launch. Although the company made its mark by producing flexible and adjustable living spaces paired with a healthy dose of vintage colorways and quirkiness, it hasn’t offered much in the way of permanent layouts — until now.

The company recently released the brand-new Traveler Summit, which is designed with a mix of convenient modularity alongside a fixed kitchenette and bathroom, bridging the gap between those who crave permanence with those who like to mix things up.

Like its other models, the Traveler Summit can be re-arranged via Happier Camper’s Adaptive Components — but it builds upon the Traveler that launched in 2020, which integrated a few crucial permanent components in the design.

The Traveler Summit’s is just 17 feet long and weighs less than 3,000 pounds, but it still includes enough space to fit 3-5 campers comfortably. The interior features two fixed elements: the kitchenette and the bathroom. While neither areas can be mistaken for luxury, they’re comfortable enough: the kitchenette includes a built-in stove, stainless steel sink, and a floor-to-ceiling console that holds a full-size fridge and microwave, while the fixed bathroom includes a shower, sink, dry-flush toilet, and storage.

The Traveler Summit also includes a full-sized bed and an entertainment area that can be converted into an additional sleeping zone, should the need arise. Like its earlier models, everything in the Traveler Summit — besides the kitchenette and bathroom — is modular, and can be re-arranged based on your personal preferences. Additional perks include a heater, AC options, solar panel options, built-in closet space and a wireless phone charger.

If you’re interested in an affordable, adorable, adjustable camper that blends old-school charm with new-school adaptability, the Happier Camper Traveler Summit is available for pre-order now through the company’s website, with the goal of shipping units in late 2025. The Traveler Summit starts at $69,950 and is the pinnacle of the Traveler Series; if you’re interested in something more accessible, the Traveler Essentials starts at $39,950 and the Traveler Adventure costs $54,950. Each model comes with a built-in kitchenette.
