RADICA has expanded its lineup of lightweight truck campers with the new STARGATE, a hard-shell pop-top designed for overlanders who want the convenience of a pop-up without the drawbacks of canvas walls. Built entirely from aluminum and manufactured in Denver, Colorado, the STARGATE is available for pre-order with pricing starting at $16,899.
Unlike traditional pop-top campers, the STARGATE uses two nested aluminum shells that raise and lower with the push of a button. The hard-sided design offers better protection from wind, rain and snow while eliminating zippers and fabric walls. Electric actuators deploy the roof in seconds, making setup quick whether you’re stopping for the night or taking a break on the trail.
One of the camper’s most interesting features is that it remains partially usable even when the roof is lowered. The upper shell does not collapse completely, leaving mid-height hard walls with integrated L-Track so gear stays mounted and accessible during travel. Owners can also use the interior in a couch configuration without raising the roof.

Inside, the STARGATE offers standing room with up to 7 feet of interior height depending on the truck platform. Large panoramic windows surround the upper sleeping area, while the folding bed allows owners to reclaim cargo space in the truck bed during the day. An optional lower bunk expands sleeping capacity to accommodate up to five people.
For four-season travel, the camper can be equipped with insulation, heating, air conditioning, solar and battery power. Depending on the model, starting weight ranges from just 500 to 575 pounds, making it an attractive option for overlanders looking to keep payload in check. Standard features include electric roof lifts, interior L-Track, exterior utility rails, and a HEST mattress.
The STARGATE made its public debut at Overland Expo Mountain West and joins RADICA’s existing lineup of lightweight campers and toppers, including the Rover, MoonLander and MoonLander X. Production is build-to-order, with current estimates of 8 to 10 weeks after final payment, though wait times may increase as production ramps up.
