This Lamborghini Urus Concept Is Fit for a Billionaire Overlander

I’ll start off by letting you know that this arctic truck-style Lamborghini Urus is just a rendering. But it would be really incredible if it were a real rig.

The fact that Abimelec Arellano created it speaks volumes about the growth in popularity in overlanding.

Not so long ago, such a creation would have been laughable. Now it’s not so crazy to imagine a billionaire or sultan having a hardcore Urus commissioned.

As the world moves toward high-tech unibody off-road vehicles, there is no doubt that rigs like this will become more commonplace. If computers and electric motors can best solid axles, why not evolve?

Of course, I am not advocating for the billionaire-ization of overlanding — far from it. Nevertheless, the auto industry is one where the trickle-down theory is alive and well. If you want to see a bad-ass mid-size crossover off-roader from Audi, look first to its elite stablemates.
