Is Santa an Overlander? Kris Kringle Tests the All-New Bronco.

Ford’s all-new Bronco made Santa’s list this year. Now the Jolly Saint Nick himself has checked out the Bronco not once but twice.

While we don’t anticipate Santa giving up on his sleigh and eight tiny reindeer anytime soon, we’re willing to bet he’s excited to retire his 1968 first-gen Bronco and commute between his North Pole warehouses in this Race Red 2021 Bronco 2-door Outer Banks.

Ted Ryan, Ford Motor Company’s heritage and archives manager, recently discovered these never-before-published images of Santa looking over his Goes Over All Terrain 4×4 in the Ford product development cold room labs.

52 years later, Santa returned to Dearborn, Michigan and a remake of this iconic photo series was created with the new 2021 Bronco, bedecked with the Sasquatch Package, a Brush Bar and a Modular Front Bumper. It seems Father Christmas placed himself on the “Nice List” this year and treated himself to a few upgrades.

Staying true to the originals, the new images were shot in the 30-degree below-zero cold room at Ford Motor Company — because, where else would Santa test out a vehicle destined for the Arctic?
