1Up USA Debuts New, Made in USA Motorcycle Rack

If you’re into cycling, or American-made gear, you’re probably familiar with 1Up USA, the brand known for manufacturing durable, high-end bike racks. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Wisconsin, 1Up exploded in popularity after the 2009 introduction of its Quik Rack system, which holds bikes in place via tire arms, protecting the frame from scrapes and scuffs and making for quick unloading and reloading. For 24 years, motorcycle riders have had to miss out on the fun — until now, with the launch of the brand-new Moto Rack.

The 1Up USA Moto Rack is made in the USA, just like the brand’s cycling racks, with a few differing design points. The Moto Rack can carry one motorcycle, up to 500 pounds. It’s built to handle extreme off-road conditions, and is available in a 2-inch and 2.5-inch hitch receiver size (with the 2-inch being the most common).

The Moto Rack is built using aluminum and steel, and weighs 120 pounds. It can hold your dirt bike, dual sport, enduro, ADV, or any motorcycle up to 500 pounds, and just like the brand’s bike racks, holds just your moto’s tires — so you don’t need to worry about  wear-and-tear to your motorcycle’s components and paint. (Save that for your riding!) The adjustable tire arm width can accommodate a variety of tire widths, up to seven inches, and the custom ratchet straps pull down on the arms, securing the motorcycle for transport.

With the Moto Rack, 1Up is introducing a wedge-style, anti-wobble mechanism that gets rid of unwanted movement at the hitch, so you can overland with your moto without worry. There’s even an integrated ramp, which makes loading and unloading a breeze; after all, loading 500 pounds is a whole different ball game from throwing your pedal-powered beach cruiser on the back of your rig.

The Moto Rack is available with a standard two-inch hitch, and customers with 3/4 ton trucks and larger vehicles can upgrade to a 2.5-inch hitch. The Moto Rack comes as a single base unit, and offers an accessory receiver (for those 1Up fans who still want to carry a bicycle), along with optional accessories to customize how your motorcycle mounts to the rack, including the LED Light Bar and Peg Stand.

The Moto Rack does not come with free shipping, so you’ll need to factor that into your final costs. The rack itself starts at $1,719.00, and is available now.
