RAM is celebrating the seventy-fifth anniversary of the iconic Power Wagon this year by releasing a special edition Power Wagon. The roots of the Power Wagon date back to World War II and the 2021 model will commemorate that rich heritage with a 75th Anniversary trim package.
The Special Edition status of the Power Wagon is obvious from a distance with the addition of subtle exterior graphics on the door and tailgate. The front-end looks simply mean with a matte black grille and updated headlamps. The beadlock capable seventeen inch wheels come wrapped in 33-inch tires with the room to run up to 37s after minor trimming. It is not normal to look at a brand new truck and think of the ways to cut it up to fit bigger tires, but no one said off-roaders were normal people.

The interior of the Power Wagon is trimmed out with 75th Anniversary badges in the leather bucket seats as well as in the door inserts. Black accents abound throughout the cockpit, but once seated, your attention is immediately drawn to the 12-inch display in the center of the dash.
The fully configurable screen controls the SiriusXM 360L, the 17-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, and for the first time in the Power Wagon, Off-Road Pages. Popular on other Fiat Chrysler automobiles, Off-Road Pages allows the driver to see a myriad of metrics including ride height, transfer case position, pitch and roll and other accessory gauges.

The Power Wagon rolls off the floor with a factory lift and an electronically controlled rear sway bar. If you manage to get in a bind, front and rear differential lockers will help secure traction. To be safe, RAM has included a 12,000-pound Warn Zeon 12 winch for when things get really hairy. Although it might be a little ambitious, RAM claims the new Power Wagon is “the most capable production off-road truck in the industry.”

The 2021 RAM Power Wagon is expected to hit showrooms in late 2020 with an MSRP of $65,250 with a destination charge of $1,695.
With the release of the RAM 1500 TRX in early 2020 and now the release of the updated Power Wagon, RAM has positioned itself as a contender in the off-road truck segment, without a doubt. As a company, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (who also owns Jeep), may have the most capable fleet of off-road trucks of any other auto manufacturer on the market moving into 2021.
FCA is listening to consumer needs and producing vehicles that meet those needs. For that, we are grateful and we look forward to seventy five more years with the Power Wagon.
