What began in 2003 as an escape from daily mulling over spreadsheets and “life sucking commutes” has transformed into a lifestyle of adventure and travel for Simon and Lisa Thomas. Also known as 2 Ride the World, Simon and Lisa have been traveling by motorbike around the world for 15 years and…they’re still riding!
Getting fed-up and making a plan to escape the corporate world is impressive enough, what’s more impressive is the longevity and extreme nature of Simon and Lisa’s travels. Over a decade and a half they have motorbiked through 80 countries on 6 continents and have experienced breathtaking highs like riding at 17,230 feet elevation and 161°F deserts. Their travels have also come with seemingly insurmountable lows like multiple bouts of Dengue and malaria as well three major accidents. After all of these years of beautiful photography, simple and delicious recipes, and amazing stories, Simon and Lisa remain true to their original goal of living a full life without regret.
We are extremely excited to have Simon and Lisa as instructors again at Overland Expo 2019 EAST. Both will be hosting several Q&A sessions and roundtables as well as classes like Top 10 Tips for Adventure Photography and Dirty Dining.
