Overland Expo is heading back to beautiful Redmond, Oregon, in a few short weeks. The Pacific Northwest is an adventure wonderland, and this event will have hundreds of exhibitors bringing out the best and newest gear. There are classes all day long to help you expand your overland knowledge, and we can’t forget all of the awesome rigs you’ll see. So get your rig and gear ready to head to Overland Expo PNW, and don’t forget these essentials.

Don’t get burnt

Stay protected from the sun so that you can keep exploring everything Overland Expo PNW has to offer. There’s no denying that central Oregon can be hot and sunny, so don’t forget to pack your favorite form of sun protection. So grab the sunscreen, the big hat, the sun shirt, and whatever else you need to keep exploring the rigs and gear at Overland Expo.
Stay hydrated

Of course, every adventurer knows you need to stay hydrated. This rings true no matter if you’re exploring a distant trail in search of a great campsite, or wandering the exhibitor rows of Overland Expo looking for some awesome new gear. So grab that trusty water bottle and stay hydrated, and if you’re running low, stop by one of the Bivvys sponsored by XYZ to top off and keep the adventures rolling.
Know it all

Navigation is a key skill for any explorer, and having the right tools is paramount. Be sure to download the Overland Expo mobile app and select Overland Expo PNW 2025 so that you can navigate the event without missing a beat.
These boots are made for walking…

…and with over XYZ exhibitors spread across the Deschutes County Expo Center, that’s what they’re going to do. Seriously, though, there’s so much to do and see, you don’t want poor footwear choices to slow you down. This also goes for your furry friends. The event grounds are a mixture of grass, pavement, and concrete, so if you’re bringing your dog along, don’t forget to protect their paws with dog booties so that they can enjoy the event, if it heats up. Also, a few bonus items that are a must-have if you’re bringing along your pet are a leash and waste bags. Overland Expo requires leashes to keep everyone safe and found, and of course, you don’t want to be the pet owner who doesn’t pick up after your furry friend.
Layer up

The action doesn’t stop when the sun goes down at Overland Expo, but the temperatures may drop. Bring a layer to stay toasty later in the day as you check out happy hour and more. Don’t worry, though. If you forget, the merch truck always has some awesome designs to choose from.
Take a pic, it’ll last longer

You’re going to see some cool stuff, that goes without a doubt. So remember to snap some shots with your phone or camera. It may be a cool rig, an accessory you want to add to your own adventure mobile, or something else altogether, but don’t miss the chance to record some memories. If you’re worried about charging your devices, our Bivvys sponsored by XYZ include power banks that you can use to top off your battery.
Class is in session

You can expect classes covering a wide range of topics, including international travel, DIY projects, and so much more. We know you’ll want to be a good student, so don’t forget that notebook and pen! Our instructors are who’s who of overlanding and experts in their fields, so take advantage of the opportunity to learn from the best.
Swag for days

You’re going to end up with some cool stuff. That’s just how we roll at Overland Expo. Definitely bring a pack, sling, messenger, or tote to carry the gear you pick up along the way. You can buy some new kit, but you’ll also have the opportunity to grab patches, hats, stickers, and more for free from exhibitors. Plus, you need something to carry that water bottle, camera, extra layer, and other Overland Expo necessities.
Don’t forget your appetite

When you feel the need for a drink or bite to eat, don’t forget to stop by the food trucks and the Oasis sponsored by XYZ. You can expect a wide array of cuisine to fit your mood, and each night of the event, Happy Hour is a must-see part of Overland Expo where you can share stories with friends, chat about the coolest rigs of the day, and plan the rest of your weekend, all while enjoying some refreshing beverages.
