Overland Expo is wrapping up the event season at Overland Expo East this weekend. This event, at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia, is a great introduction to the prime camping season. No matter if you’re a hardcore overlander looking for technical trails, or your ideal campsite is a nice dispersed site just off of a gravel road, Overland Expo East has the exhibitors and education to get you equipped and inspired for your next trip. You can even camp on site. With the beautiful fall foliage of the Blue Ridge Mountains as a backdrop, you’re bound to meet some great adventure-loving neighbors, and you’ll see some inspiring rigs all throughout the camping area.

Beyond the camaraderie, you also get to stay within easy walking distance of all of the action Overland Expo has to offer without needing to rush. This allows you to enjoy the evening activities and really dive into the community. No matter what part of the outdoors lifestyle you love or how you get out into the wilderness, Overland Expo undoubtedly has something for you. The attendees, exhibitors, and staff all share a passion for backcountry adventures across a wide range of endeavors. And don’t just take our word for it!

There’s something special about getting to speak with the vendors in person that you don’t get from the web. And we’re from eight hours away, but we’ve already made friends with the campers around us. It’s been great weekend and we still have a day left!

Now, let’s take a look at everything Overland Expo has to offer!

Exhibitors

Amongst the hundreds of exhibitors, you’ll find plenty of vehicle modification companies, but if you’re looking for camping and general outdoor gear, there’s plenty of that as well. This is a great chance to check out the gear firsthand and get your questions answered by the exhibitors. Be sure to check out the full exhibitor list below.

At the heart of the nighttime action sits the Oasis Bar & Food Court sponsored by Blue Compass RV / Airstream of Virginia, the perfect spot to relax with friends after a day exploring Overland Expo East. Friday and Saturday, head to the Happy Hours sponsored by Torque Wheels and  Toyo Tires, respectively. These run from 5 to 7 PM, but that’s far from the end of the action. On Friday night, you can choose between the Camp Subaru Live! at the Subaru Booth or the  OK4WD × Mountain State Overland Video Premiere, both kicking off at 7 PM. On Saturday night, the fun continues with the Women Who Wander Networking Event and the Overland Expo Foundation Raffle. Needless to say, it’s a fun-filled weekend you don’t want to miss.
