At this point, hardly anyone in the overland community is unfamiliar with the DECKED Drawer System. DECKED brought organization in the form of easily installed drawers to the masses and likewise to pretty much every model of truck that you see on the road. What you might not know is that two years ago, DECKED acquired CargoGlide, and adapted these handy systems to their drawers.
Today DECKED announced the next evolution of the CargoGlide line, the CargoGlide 1000. The CargoGlide 1000 brings a number of new features to the already convenient and heavy duty product. As you might expect, the CargoGlide 1000 has a weight capacity of 1,000 pounds. The old model offered a 70% extension, but the new CG 1000 bumps that up to 75%, which translates up to 13 more inches depending on the truck bed size.
The new look of the CargoGlide goes far beyond aesthetics. The rounded edges and rubber bumpers eliminate snag points, and they’re still compatible with accessories like the optional high sides. The handle release has also been updated to be easy to access and utilize.
Where things get really crazy is the new half-width option. This allows you to use one or two smaller slides in the bed of your truck or on top of DECK drawers to further organize your gear. The half-width option isn’t the only thing that DECKED cut down for the new CargoGlide line. The standard CG 1000 with 76% extension for a short-bed mid-sized truck weighs in at 112 pounds, and it’s incredibly low profile with a 3.9-inch tray height. The new CargoGlide model works on a wide range of models and is installed in less than an hour, so visit the DECKED website if you’re interested in a lightweight and low-profile way to access your cargo easily.
