Excitement Builds for the Overland Expo Foundation Raffle at Mountain West

Friday evenings have been come something special at Overland Expo events over the past few years. For about an hour, the hum of activity normally spread out across the venue is focused in one place – the Overland Expo Foundation Raffle. The crowds have gotten bigger, the mounds of raffle prizes have gotten taller, and the support for what the Overland Expo Foundation has been doing in the community has grown exponentially.

There are thousands of dollars of outdoor and vehicle-based travel prizes to be won, but for many, it is the experience of the event itself that brings them back year after year. It’s hard to describe the magic of the event to people that haven’t been to one yet. There’s always a thrum of excitement across the crowd in the minutes leading up to the event, but from the moment event host Eva Rupert walks out onto stage, things get a little wild. Think Beatlemania on the Ed Sullivan Show – Overland Expo style. The crowd of overlanders, a group predominantly known as introverts suddenly become extroverts, attendees compete to show that they are in fact the most excited for a particular prize, cheers erupt as the next prize is announced, winners dance their way up to the stage to get their prizes and Eva wades into the crowd to shower them with vendor swag.

How to get Raffle Tickets

Tickets are available for purchase online in advance of the event, at check-in, at the Overland Expo Foundation / Ultimate Builds booth at the show, and at the XGRiD Oasis Bar and Food Court from 6:30 pm – 7:00 pm on Friday night. The raffle itself starts at 7:00. You must be present to win.
