From dual-sport rippers to space-aged-looking street bikes, Husqvarna is a well-rounded rockstar when it comes to making motorcycles. With the launch of the new Norden 901, Husqvarna is now doubling down on adventure travel.

After its concept unveiling at EICMA in 2019, the new twin-cylinder machine is slated to hit dealer floors in the coming month. Set to become a key addition to Husqvarna Motorcycles’ street line-up, this versatile long-distance traveler will offer riders a balance of practicality and comfort.

Inspired by Husqvarna’s multi-terrain Rally machines, the Norden 901 is built to go the distance across challenging, diverse landscapes, with a focus on rider ergonomics and high performance. Fast, fun, and capable, this is the sort of motorcycle that makes even the longest riding days rewarding, no matter how far you choose to go.

“Since 2014, the Husqvarna Motorcycles brand has been constantly evolving. The launch of the Norden 901 sees us move into another market segment – travel,” said Head of Husqvarna Motorcycles Marketing, Federico Valentini. “The motorcycle was unveiled to a highly enthusiastic reception at EICMA 2019 and there has been mounting anticipation ahead of its launch. Now it is finally here, and we believe that the Norden 901 will become a class-leading favorite of riders with the ambition to explore further.”

The Norden 901 cranks out 105 horsepower via a smooth and torquey 899cc parallel-twin engine housed in a light steel trellis frame. The WP APEX long-travel suspension plus large diameter 21’’ front and 18’’ rear wheels, will make the rocks leap out of the way when they see you coming. What’s more, the Norden 901 also touts unrivaled agility on the tarmac too.

Additional bells and whistles include switchable Bosch Cornering ABS with Street and Offroad modes, lean-angle sensitive Cornering Motorcycle Traction Control, and selectable ride modes. An Easy Shift function allows for clutchless changes up and down the six-speed gearbox while a Power Assist Slipper Clutch maintains rear wheel composure.

Just when you thought the middleweight ADV market was complete, Husqvarna delivers another solid reason to save your lunch money and check the couch cushions for loose change. The Norden 901 base model will only set you back $13,999. Start bugging your local dealer because folks are surely chomping at the bit to get their hands on this bike.
