Overland Expo Training

Attendees looking for a more immersive and complete overland instruction, the Overland Expo Training sponsored by COMEUP Winch is the way to go. This premium path offers hands-on driving instruction plus classroom education designed to make you a safer, smarter, and more capable overlander. The training team will cover driving skills, proper recovery techniques, preparedness, field maintenance, and more. The Overland Expo Training curriculum is specifically tailored to benefit every skill level and real-world use, so you’ll be ready to tackle challenges on future adventures. The Thursday training session delivers a full day of small group instruction that gives you all the benefits of small group instruction, advanced classes, lunch, plus an extra night of camping, while the Friday 1:1 option offers a highly personalized half-day session that’s customized to meet your skills and goals. Trail Course Experience

If you want to get some dirt time without giving up a full day of Overland Expo PNW, the Trail Course Experience is the perfect add-on. It’s designed for attendees who want a short dose of hands-on driving with the Overland Expo Training team. This experience allows you to get some time in your own rig as you tackle the same types of conditions and obstacles you can expect out on the trail. With off-camber turns, hill climbs, and more, you’ll leave with higher confidence in your rig and your skills. It’s perfect for all skill levels and leaves you plenty of time to enjoy the rest of the expo. The Trail Course Experience is a lower-cost, lower-time-commitment way to tap into the expertise of the training team, and it’s accessible with any Overland Expo PNW day pass, weekend pass, or camping pass.

Overland Expo PNW Training Schedule

On Thursday, June 25, campers can add an exclusive Thursday-only Overland Expo Training pass for a full day of small-group instruction designed to help attendees sharpen real-world overland driving, recovery, preparedness, and vehicle know-how. It’s a bring-your-own-rig experience with a low trainee-to-trainer ratio, plus added perks like lunch, an extra night of camping, and access to a dedicated training camp area. The Thursday Overland Expo Training pass is a great way to kick off the weekend, get the most out of quality time with the trusted instructors, and give you a great idea of the gear and mods you need to look for as you enjoy the rest of the weekend.

On Friday, the Overland Expo PNW kicks off, and you can still get in on some great training that meets your schedule. During the AM hours you can join the Overland Training Team on the course for some 1:1 instruction. Attendees can work on exactly the skills they’re looking to expand to get the most out of their time. Then, after lunch, the team switches gears and fires up the Trail Course Experience. During the Trail Course Experience, you bring your own vehicle to the training course at a preselected time to experience off-camber turns, hill climbs, and other common trail challenges under the watchful eye of an expert trainer.

Wrapping up the training weekend with Saturday’s 1:1 Overland Expo Training.  This provides participants with the opportunity to focus on learning and honing the exact skills they need in order to level up their overland driving and recovery knowledge. A pre-event questionnaire allows instructors to customize the 3-hour session to provide attendees with a bespoke training experience.
