History and Expertise

Delta Interior was founded in 2001 by three partners with 25 years of experience in the aviation and design sectors. The company was created with the mission to engineer, design, and manufacture beautiful, high quality, and high reliability interiors and interior systems for business jets. Leveraging their passion and expertise in aviation, the partners expanded their business into the automotive sector 15 years ago, with a particular focus on overland trucks through Delta Automotive.

In aeronautics, perfection is the expectation. Everything must work together seamlessly, maximizing spatial and functional efficiency, providing a high degree of safety and redundancy, and be as readily maintainable as possible. Every component is scrutinized during the design process. Extend this to the design of business jets for extremely discerning clients, and all these qualities must be combined with beauty and design excellence.

Bespoke Overland Builds

This experience and expertise in the aeronautical field is what sets Delta Automotive apart from other builders in the overland vehicle arena. They bring their extensive know-how in design, planning, material selection, and safety from the aeronautical industry to the world of overlanding. Their camper trucks are custom-designed, bespoke vehicles that combine comfort and beauty with ultra-high reliability for adventure in any condition.

Their vehicle creation process is underpinned by rigorous engineering studies, mechanical engineering, and plant engineering. As a result, their trucks meet high safety standards in any weather condition or challenging situation. These factors, combined with high-reliability components and redundant systems, allow their customers to travel with complete peace of mind.

The design process begins with a thorough understanding of the client’s needs, goals, and aspirations for the vehicle. For those that have not already selected a vehicle platform, Delta works closely with the user to select an optimized vehicle for the build ranging from those as short as 13 feet to larger trucks as long as 30 feet.

Subsequent design consultations provide multiple customized solutions based on the customer’s preferences and requirements. Every aspect of the design is considered along the way. The interaction of each component selected and its arrangement in the overall design is meticulously studied and considered, maximizing ease of use, accessibility, and ease of maintenance. Their bespoke designs offer a complete interior with essential equipment such as windows, doors, hatches, heating systems, appliances, electrical components, and finishing materials, as well as customized special parts like countertops, shower trays, and stairs.

Delta Automotive meticulously studies the interaction of each of these components to one another and streamlines their arrangement to maximize usability and accessibility, as well as ease of maintenance. Their dedication to refinement established in their aeronautical experience leads them to offer state-of-the-art, durable materials with lightweight and reliable characteristics rarely found elsewhere in overland builds.

Additionally, Delta is committed to sustainability, using biocompatible materials with a focus on lightweight construction to improve fuel efficiency. This eco-friendly approach significantly reduces fuel consumption, making their vehicles environmentally conscious choices.

The MT60

One of their builds, the MT60 is currently traveling the Unites States and was recently showcased at Overland Expo PNW. Stepping into the vehicle, it is immediately obvious that Delta Automotive’s design expertise has found its way into every aspect of the design. The more time you spend in the vehicle, the more you appreciate how much thoughtful consideration went into every detail.

The MT60’s interior design is crafted to provide spacious and bright rooms, ensuring maximum comfort for its occupants. High-quality materials were used throughout the build, featuring finishes such as Alcantara fabric and wood treated with nanotechnology, which ensures class-leading durability. The advanced, hidden induction cooktop system adds functionality and technology to the vehicle while providing maximum usable prep and cooking space with a minimal footprint.

As a four-season vehicle intended to offer maximum comfort and livability, special attention was given to summer and winter air conditioning. The MT60 is provided with an efficient and comfortable system that can meet the broad climate demands of world travel. The heating system offers multiple options: the main system can be controlled with three different zones through a home automation system, and there is also three-zone underfloor heating. The air conditioning system is highly efficient, operating at 24 volts. The vehicle’s systems are rounded out with both a 250-gallon water tank and a 200-gallon diesel tank for extended travel.

With one of Delta Automotive’s vehicles like the MT60, you can live out their motto:

DON’T MAKE ANY PLANS, THE WORLD IS WAITING FOR YOU.
