Roofnest just announced its all-new Condor Overland rooftop tent. Building on its popular Condor model, the Condor Overland takes the design to the next level. The new Overland model uses the same compact footprint that folds out to a large sleeping area, but when packed, it easily fits over a bed of a mid-sized truck.
Throughout the design Roofnest‘s hardshell tent expertise is apparent. The floor and top shell are constructed of one-inch-thick honeycomb aluminum forms, and the side panels are made of extruded aluminum. The unique construction helps the tent achieve an excellent strength-to-weight ratio with a total weight of only 165 pounds.
Three accessory channels run along all four sides of the tent. These are compatible with Roofnest’s tent-mounted crossbars that can hold 100 pounds when closed and 40 pounds when open. The crossbars are available in 50, 54, and 60-inch models so that the customer can pick the accessories that are right for their build. The accessory channels also accept a variety of mounts for axes, shovels, lighting, and other overlanding accessories.
The 93 x 54-inch interior features a 2.5-inch foam mattress with a removable, machine-washable cover. The lined interior features dimmable battery-powered LED lights, a skylight, two shoe bags, a privacy tent, and a ground mat.
The Condor Overland is priced at $3,595.00, but it is currently on sale as a pre-order for $3,295.00 through December 3rd. This offer includes free shipping to the lower 48 states.
