Leitner Designs has introduced the Active Cargo System (ACS) ROOF, a new roof rack built specifically for 2024 and newer Toyota Tacoma models. Designed for durability and versatility, the ACS ROOF is rated to handle 1,000 pounds static, 600 pounds on-road, and 300 pounds off-road making it one of the strongest options on the market.

Leitner put the ACS ROOF through a 1,000-mile high-speed desert test across Johnson Valley and the Mojave Road, proving it can handle the kind of punishment overlanders and off-roaders regularly face.
The rack’s infinitely adjustable load bars are a standout feature, allowing owners to reposition them even after installation. This flexibility makes it easier to mount tents, storage boxes, or solar panels in the exact configuration you need. Its rigid exterior frame and M8 grade 10.9 tensile fasteners deliver real-world strength — the kind you can count on when trails get rough or gear gets heavy.

For extended trips, the GearPOD ROOF adds smart functionality. The side-opening rooftop box provides easier access and can support up to 100 pounds on top, ideal for storing recovery boards, extra fuel, or camp essentials without eating into interior space.

The ACS ROOF also features clean internal cable routing, making it simple to wire lights or other accessories without a tangle of zip ties. And for Tacoma owners already running the ACS Forged bed rack, the optional ACS Platform integrates seamlessly, adding rigidity and lowering overall vehicle height.
At $1,300, the ACS ROOF hits a sweet spot for 4th-gen Tacoma owners who want a rugged, modular roof system built to handle serious overland travel.
