Staff were in the Asheville area last weekend to work on plans for the upcoming Overland Expo 2018 EAST at Oskar Blues REEB Ranch. Yes, this year it is at a new location!
We’ve left behind the fabulous Biltmore for greener pastures this year, literally! Located only 35 miles from Asheville, REEB Ranch hosts rolling fields, a backdrop of beautiful blue mountains, and comes complete with a stream threading through the property as well as miles of hiking and mountain bike trails in Pisgah National Forest and Dupont State Forest.
All of those empty fields will be transformed when Overland Expo EAST begins November 9 (we open on Thursday for camping). The same great event will take place over three days, hosting over 200 vendors, and, of course, hundreds of in-depth classes, from choosing the right vehicle or motorcycle for your needs, to packing it with the proper equipment and provisions, to handling challenging road conditions, to recovering from that unexpected slide off the road.
Our team of instructors is simply the best on the planet: from seasoned Camel Trophy team members to trans-Africa veterans to professional motorcycle trainers and trip leaders. We are looking forward to another Overland Expo EAST schedule—packed with over 160 classes and activities, comprising of more than 300 session hours of instruction.
Another difference for this year is that ALL tickets must be purchased in advance, including Day Passes. Day Pass parking will be off-site with a free shuttle service to Overland Expo. Only campers and ADA vehicles will be permitted to park at the ranch.
