Toyota’s TRD Pro Off-Road Series Gets A Makeover for 2021

Whether you drive a Toyota or not, the off-road heritage of Toyota’s highly capable TRD Pro Series is well respected in the overland community.  The tried and tested TRD Pro Series models — Sequoia, Tundra, 4Runner, and Tacoma — are specially designed to be kings on and off road.

Toyota’s line of adventure rigs will get a bit of makeover for 2021 models, from new exterior color and LED lighting options to enhanced tire and wheel packages.

All 2021 TRD Pro models will offer a new head-turning exterior color, Lunar Rock, replacing Army Green in the series’ color palette.

The off-road staple 4Runner series will get several upgrades including a new pair of eyes. Look for enhanced LED lighting across the entire line up with the TRD Pro grade 4Runner models also getting LED high beams.

And what’s a makeover without a new pair of shoes? The 2021 4Runner will also feature new black TRD alloy flow form wheels wrapped in Nitto Terra Grappler tires.

More than just aggressive new styling, the switch also allows for unique adjustments to increase ride and handling, specifically a re-tuned 2.5-inch Fox Internal Bypass Shocks to help complement its already off-road-capable hardware.

Built with the outdoor enthusiast in mind, Toyota already introduced the 2021 Tacoma, Tundra, and 4Runner Trail Special editions earlier this year featuring extra storage and convenience upgrades. Each Trail Special model has its own unique set of upgrades from 115-volt in-bed power outlets and built-in coolers to Yakima roof racks and sliding cargo trays.

We’re anxiously awaiting pricing to be released on the new TRD Pro Series models.  Look for these new models to hit the streets this Fall.
