We have a major weather event going on here in North Carolina with Hurricane Joaquin rain and wind expected today, Saturday. As of end of day 10/2 WE CAN NO LONGER ACCOMMODATE CAMPING OR DAY PASS VISITORS WHO HAVE NOT ALREADY CHECKED IN (we are still accommodating those who have checked in, and activities are all still running). The ground is saturated and more is on the way. Please be aware also of regional flooding making travel hazardous. If you are staying in Asheville, you could hire a taxi for dropoff at Taylor Ranch (between 9 and 5 pm — do not stay late to help us with traffic control). BE SAFE and please help us out by being patient and working with us to adjust to this major weather event that is affecting the whole region. Please check the website or Twitter for updates on possible shuttles from nearby parking lots. https://www.overlandexpo.com/east
