‘Why We Roam’ Episode 2 Featuring Tim and Marisa Notier

The second installment of our “Why We Roam” video series introduces you to moto-adventurers Tim and Marisa Notier. Their story resonates with many overlanders because it’s filled with adventure, passion for travel, and there’s just a bit of romance sprinkled in, too.

When the Nortiers started their two-wheeled adventures, Marisa was an experienced world-traveler, and Tim had dabbled in the motorcycle lifestyle. In combining their lifestyles, they became Two Up and Overloaded. Six years later, with over 25 countries under their collective belt, they’re ready to share the joy they find traveling with the overlanding community.

The Notiers admit that when they first began their journey, they were hesitant and fearful. But now they see that the benefits of travel far outweigh any negative aspects.

For example, Tim says: “We can be in the middle of nowhere, and somebody will just show up and help us. We’ve never seen them before, and they’ll save the day within the span of ten minutes. Then they disappear back to wherever they came from, and we never see them again.”
