Wolfman Makes the Moto Gear You Never Knew You Needed

Back in 1992, the Red Hot Chili Peppers were spinning in your Discman, BMW launched the first oilhead R1100RS, and Eric Hougen of Wolfman Luggage started making motorcycle bags. With nearly 30 years of building products for hauling stuff around on motorcycles, Wolfman certainly knows their luggage.

Wolfman’s latest gear lineup is all about versatility wrapped in high tech features. Their legendary luggage is 100% waterproof, 840d TPU fabric with RF-welded seams. Eric, the company owner, designs and relentlessly tests each piece of Wolfman luggage and his latest creations include Zip-R Bags and a Tank Pannier Base.

According to Wolfman, the Zip-R Bags are the “first zippered versatile gear bags in the motorcycle market,” which is pretty darn cool. The Zip-R Bags have a zipper closure for easy access and can attach in a variety of different configurations depending on how you like to pack your kit. The Zip-R holds its shape, even when packed lightly, and does not require hand rolling like traditional dry bags.

Now, I don’t think front panniers have ever been the star of the moto luggage show, but perhaps Wolfman is about to change that. Their Tank Pannier Base harness system straps securely around your tank and has mounting points that you can customize with your choice of luggage. Wolfman suggests using small or medium Zip-R bags or their classic Rolie dry bags for hauling gear for easy access. Or, if you’re looking to carry extra water, you can use the Tank Pannier Base to mount one or more Wolf Bottle Holsters.

Wolfman gear lets you choose your own adventure and pack perfectly for it. Their relentless commitment to quality and real-world field testing means that their gear is built to last, no matter how hard you are on it. I bet your Diskman never came with a guarantee like that.
