Last weekend thousands of overlanders gathered in Loveland, Colorado for Overland Expo Mountain West 2026. A highlight of the event for many is spending time perusing the vendor area looking for new gear that makes our passion for overland travel safer, easier, or more comfortable. With over 300 exhibitors attendees could find everything from tiny camp essentials to full-sized expedition campers. With countless pieces of overland gear to choose from it’s impossible to rank them, but here our some of favorites pieces of gear from Overland Expo Mountain West 2026.
Duluth Trading Company – Bib Overalls
Duluth Trading Company has long been known for manufacturing thoughtful and durable gear for rugged use. Their women’s bib overalls caught our eye for its lightweight, yet durable rib-stop fabric that provides both abrasion resistance and a bit of stretch. The straps have an elasticized, non-slip surface that promises to keep the overalls in place and not slide off your shoulders at the most inopportune moments. The Bib Overalls have 12 pockets spread across the garment, with the chest and cargo pockets being especially roomy. The crotch is gusseted for extended life, the legs are double-chapped for additional protection, and the knees have pockets for knee-pads. The overalls offer much-needed SPF 50 sun protection for time outdoors. LectricBoil – The Overlander
With the growing popularity of induction cooking in the home, it is only natural that the technology would find its way to the overland space – it doesn’t need fuel, it doesn’t emit combustion air, and it’s always usable in fire-ban areas, in addition to the cooking conveniences induction offers. Until now, there hasn’t really been a convenient, camping-oriented package. Enter the Lectric Boil Overlander that packages 10-inch and 6-inch dual induction burners with an onboard battery bank in a familiar form factor. The cooktop can be recharged by both AC power and solar, and can conversely be used to power portable electronics such as a phone or laptop.

Manteo Poncho – Poncho
The blazing heat of the weekend had us longing for adventures in cooler temperatures and the Manteo Poncho may be just the ticket for comfort and convenience on those cold-weather outings that are coming up quick. The product is a lofted, weather-resistant poncho that readily converts to a sleeping bag or can be zipped open as a blanket. Weighing in at just two pounds, the exterior of the convertible poncho is made of TT880-OPPM, and 100% recycled Nylon and the lining is a 50D Nylon material. The poncho has a zippered chest pocket that provides a convenient, out of the way location for your phone and keys, and a “kangaroo pocket” is provides a place to keep your hands warmed. The sleeping bag form measures 80 inches from hood to footbox and tapers from a 35 inch shoulder width to a roomy 29 inch foot box. There is also a built-in, removable neck pillow that makes this a great travel garment as well.
Frontier Unlimited – Roch Pro Camper
The exterior graphics of the updated Frontier Unlimited Roch Pro Camper caught our eye this weekend and our interest was rewarded with a tour of a thoughtfully designed offroad trailer. At the foundation of the the Roch Pro is a heavy duty, powder coated steel frame with a Cruisemaster CRS2 axle-less suspension. The four season trailer body is constructed around insulated panels providing an R-9 insulation rating. Inside you’ll find a queen-sized 6 inch memory foam mattress. The cabin is kept comfortable with a Dometic Fan-tastic roof vent as well as a Dometic forced air 12,000 BTU furnace controlled by a Powertrak display and thermostat. On board you’ll find a pair of 100 amp LiFePO4 house batteries, a 200 watt inverter, and a GoPower solar controller. Around back you’ll find plenty of storage space in the galley along with a two burner stove, stainless steel sink fed by a 66,000 BTU water heater, and a fridge/freezer.
GME US – XRS Connect XRS-660-U
GME released their new XRS-660-U handheld GMRS radio with some new technology that will no doubt be extremely popular. The handheld has built in GPS capability that doesn’t rely on an external data source, such as smart phone for location information. The full color TFT display can show the units location and the radio can relay its location to other GME radios. The display is impressive in person and was very easy to read in bright sunlight. The unit offers IP67 ingress protection against dust and water and has a MIL-STD810G rating for its durability against drops, heat, and vibration. The XRS-660-U has Bluetooth connectivity compatible with a wide range of audio accessories and provides a full 5 watts of transmission power. The radio’s impressive build and feature set makes it a strong contender for your next GMRS purchase.
Trukd – Bedcap
Modular and flat-packable truck topers designed around a structural bedframe are becoming increasingly popular option for overlanders that want the best of both worlds. Trukd has been working on an innovate offering built around their popular A series rack and we finally got a chance to see their Bed Cap in person. The A series rack features uprights that are made of 304 stainless steel connected to heavy-duty aluminum crossbars. The combination provides a rack assembly that offers a 400 pound dynamic load rating and impressively a 1,000 pound static load rating, while keepign weight low. Trukd’s modular panel system mounts to the interior side of the rack maintaining the full function of the rack while providing a weather sealed enclosure over the truck bed. The modular approach allows them to provide a wide range of customization options based on the components selected. The prototype they had on display this weekend showed off their gullwing side doors as well as their mounting panels. The underside of the enclosure features sealed access panels that provide convenient access to the roof top tent mounting locations making an often difficult and frustrating process easy. The fit and finish of the unit was impressive, and there was evidence of expert engineering throughout. No doubt this will be a popular option for overlanders when it is released later this year. Slee Offroad – LX700h Rear Bumper
Slee Offroad had its forthcoming rear bumper for the Lexus LX700h on display. The beautifully engineered steel bumper blends thoughtfully into the LX700h’s body lines and retains all of the functions of the vehicle’s extensive sensors. The low-profile bumper features dual swingouts on redesigned spindles that use sealed deep-groove ball bearings that extend the spindle life significantly. The tire carrier and ladder swingouts are fully removable and feature a newly designed keep-open mechanism that eliminates the need for gas struts. Perhaps most impressive was their new latching mechanism for securing the swingouts that allows one handed operation and was frankly one of the smoothest latches we’ve ever operated. The engineering innovation and design elegance that Slee Offroad is known for was on full display in this bumper and for those with an LX700h, it’s well worth checking out.
Snakestaff Systems – ETQ Gen 2 EDC Tourniquet
Snakestaff Systems had their new ETQ Gen 2 EDC tourniquet on display in their booth. The ETQ Gen 2 is designed to be small, lightweight, and easy to keep on you at all times, especially when paired with one of their wide range of carriers meant to make it easy to mount to a backpack, in your vehicle, on a rifle, or just about any other convenient location that gets critical life-saving equipment near you when you need it.
Available in 1 inch and 1.5 inch band widths, the ETQ Gen 2 has a couple of unique features that improve upon both their previous generation and your typical tourniquet. The compact windlass features flat faces that make it easy to apply consistent pressure and provide better purchase with wet or bloody hands. The slot where the band is pulled through is curved, which spreads out the forces of the band and reducing the risk of permanent tissue damage. The new steel ring under the windlass creates additional space to clear the newly enlarged carabiner retainer and makes the initial turns easier. Wanderfox – Lair Camper for Jeep Wrangler
We’ve been looking forward to seeing the new Wanderfox Lair for the Jeep Wrangler platform and it’s every bit as impressive in person as we had expected. The unit replaces the factory hardtop, adding both a pop up tent and a heavy duty roof rack. It does so, adding only an additional 3.5 inches of height and 50 pounds over the OEM setup. When deployed, the popup camper provides a 7 foot long sleeping platform that is 50 inches wide and had a static weight capacity of 500 lbs. Pass-through panels above the rear seat let occupants easily move between the sleeping platform and the interior of the Jeep without exiting the vehicle. The fiberglass camper provides 100% bolt-on installation with no vehicle modification needed and features tinted, hinged, and lockable rear-quarter windows as well as flexible awning mounting points on either side of the vehicle. The tent has heating and air conditioning duct ports on both front sides of the tent as well as a skylight and integrated blackout panels and bug screens for the three large openings.
